Agates from the mining-region of Midelt-Aouli belong to the most colourful agates of Morocco.
Usually they are coloured greyish-white - somtimes with a fine lined banding that causes a strong shadow effect.
Very often the banding is vividly deformed.
Sometimes a very fine lined banding and intense colurs - such as red and yellow - form a beautiful pattern.
Agate nodules are common in Midelt-Aouli - but vein agates do occur too.
