Near to the little township of Niederwörresbach is the Bernhard rock quarry situated. Today it is closed and no collecting of rocks or minerals is allowed.

From the 1960ies until the 1980ies this quarry was an “Eldorado” for all mineral-collectors. Near to quarry was a camping-ground situated. After a short breakfast the collectors did their job (collecting very fine amethyst- and smokyquartz-geodes and some agate-nodules). After work there was plenty of time to discuss about the findings on the camping-ground.
