A small quarry above the Welschroether Hof near to the village of Sien supplied very interesting agates in the 1980ies .
The occurrence of white finebanded agates together with yellowish Calcite was characteristic. The occurrence of yellow tree-like silificied ferric oxide structures, so-called “plumes” was singular.
Today above-mentioned quarry is completely landfilled.
