The origin of the agate-nodules the agate-collectors can find in ancient gravel-beds of the river Elbe in Saxonia is in the “Bohemian Paradise” in north-eastern Tschechia.
They still show their characteristics - even if edge smoothening and erosion changed their habits.
Characteristcs are:
- typical pseudomorphs
- formation of several centers in one nodule ( caused by deformation ).
