Near to the City Weiser in Idaho the finding-location Beacon Hill is situated. The typical agates from this place are called “Idaho-Potatoes” because of their shape and skin.

The pattern is composed of bluish-grey and white colours and is showing both structures fortification-banding as well as “water-level-agate”.

Sometimes the “water-level-agate” banding is showing a rupture in the banding. The banding is showing an inclination from approximately 15°. This worldwide very rare case is the evidence for petrographical moving of the hostrock.
