Bruneau Canyon in southwestern Idaho is offering to the collectors a very fine jasper with an unusual structure. Tis structure is called by the american collectors “egg-structure”. This “orbicular structure” (the scientific term) is caused by enrichment of iron-oxid pigmentation in prefered parts of the jasper.
Similar patterns can be found in some interesting types of flint.
Today it is very difficult to obtain such a perfect specimen with fine contrasting structures on classical brown matrix as the presented one.
