Unusual agate-formations are hidden in the Buchanan-Ranch Thundereggs. This Ranch is situated in the Harney County. The pits worked in a miozenic rhyolithe and are meanwhile closed. The thundereggs are showing a pattern of bluish-white banded agate and sometimes many parallel-grown stalactitic agate-tubes in the center. If these agate-tubes are cut straigth trough eyeagate-like formations do appear.
